Wahiawa Water System Improvements Part IV Project

PROJECT OVERVIEW

  • Tentively scheduled to begin in January 2023 through June 2024, the BWS will be conducting a project to install approximately 1,620 feet of 16-inch water mains and 14,570 feet of 8-inch mains along various ares in Wahiawa:

  • The list of streets to be impacted includes:
    • Nichols Street from Glen Avenue to Eames Street
    • Eames Street from Uuku Street to Nichols Street
    • Lehua Street from Kilani Avenue to end
    • Koa Street from Kilani Avenue to Auwai Drive
    • Eames Street from Nichols Street to 1735 Eames Street
    • Eames Street from Glen Avenue to 1746 Eames Street
    • Glen Avenue from Eames Street to Glenview Place
    • Royal Palm Drive from Nichols Street to Glen Avenue
    • Turner Street from Royal Palm Drive to Eames Street
    • Glenview Place from Glen Avenue to end
    • Wonderview Place Glenview Place to end
    • Kanoelehua Place from Glen Avenue to end
    • Hakuone Street from Hakuone Place to end
    • Hakuone Place from Hokuone Street to end
    • Hill Drive from California Avenue to Puu Place

  • This project will involve traffic modifications and lane closures along the work site. When the project begins road users are advised to obey all traffic controls, posted signs, and special duty officers. Road closures are scheduled to occur Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. except for observed state holidays.

  • The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability for customers in the area.
