HONOLULU – The Board of Water Supply (BWS) is asking customers in Hawaii Kai, from Keahole St. to the Hawaii Kai Golf Course, to please use water for essential needs only from today until Thursday, September 24. Water usage was exceptionally high over this past weekend and the utility is working to restore reservoir capacity.
To help reduce area water demand, customers are asked to use water for cooking, drinking, and personal sanitation needs until water storage levels have recovered.
The BWS is also notifying large water users in the area, including parks, schools, shopping centers, and large residential buildings, to ask for their cooperation to conserve water as well.
Updates will be available through BWS social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Nextdoor, as well as on the City’s HNL.info app.
