HONOLULU – Board of Water Supply (BWS) contractor, D&C Plumbing, Inc., is working to install new 8-inch water mains along Kamehameha Highway, between Kahuhipa Street and Keole Street, in Kaneohe. The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability for customers in the area.
This work is part of an ongoing project in Kaneohe to replace approximately 6,400 feet of 8-inch water mains installed from the 1930s to the 1950s. Thus far, the contractor has installed mains along Anoi Road, from Kapunahala Road to the end of Anoi Road, along Luana Place, and along Keaahala Road, from Keaahala Place to Kamehameha Highway. The work along Kamehameha Highway is the final phase of the project.
Roadwork will occur Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area. Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes during construction hours. Questions and comments may be directed to the BWS Construction Section at 748-5730 or by emailing email@example.com.
