Water System Improvements Project in Kaneohe Began on  May 14

HONOLULU – D&C Plumbing, Inc., the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Anoi Road Water System Improvements project in Kaneohe, started work on May 14.  The renewal of the water system will improve fire protection and water service reliability for customers in the area.

This project will replace approximately 6,400 feet of 8-inch water mains installed from the 1930s to the 1950s. Work will be along Anoi Road from Kapunahala Road to the end of Anoi Road. As the project progresses, the following streets will also be impacted:

  • Luana Place
  • Keaahala Road from Keaahala Place to Kamehameha Highway
  • Kamehameha Highway from Kahuhipa Street to Keole Street

Roadwork will occur Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area.  Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes during construction hours.  Barring any unforeseen circumstances, this project will be completed in the second quarter of 2019.  Questions and comments may be directed to the BWS Construction Section at 748-5730 or by emailing contactus@hbws.org.
