Waiʻapo Place, Waihua Place, and Waimomona Place Water System Improvements

HONOLULU – MEI Corporation, the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Waiʻapo Place, Waihua Place, and Waimomona Place Water System Improvements project is scheduled to begin work after August 3, 2026. The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability and fire protection for customers in the area.

The project will install approximately 2,800 feet of 12-inch, 8-inch, and 4-inch water mains along Kolowaka Drive, from Waiʻapo Place to Waimomona Place; and along Waiʻapo Place, Waihua Place, and Waimomona Place.

Working hours for the project will occur Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area. Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays. Based on the current schedule, this project will be completed in the second quarter of 2027.
