An informative workshop offered by the Board of Water Supply (BWS) and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG) instructs participants on how to conserve water outdoors in your landscape that not only saves drinking water for future generations, but also reduces your monthly consumption and water bill!

Details

This informative workshop teaches participants the seven steps to xeriscaping: crucial planning and design, importance of limited turf areas, efficient irrigation, soil improvements (the building blocks for healthy plants), importance of mulch and utilizing it properly, identifying drought-tolerant plants, and simplified maintenance procedures.

Advanced registration is required. Registration opens on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, or when all spaces are filled.
