Naʻalehu Anthony joined the Board of Water Supply (BWS) Board of Directors in January 2021. He became Chair of the Board effective July 2023.

Chair Anthony is a Native Hawaiian storyteller and documentary filmmaker. He is the co-founder of ʻOiwi TV and and the ʻAina Aloha coalition, and directs and produces documentaries and oral histories through his production company, Paliku Documentary Films. He is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools, and earned his BA in Hawaiian Studies and an MBA from the University of Hawaiʻi.

Anthony also is vice chairman and Oahu commissioner for the Native Hawaiian Roll Commission. And, he has served as a crew member of the Polynesian Voyaging Society since 1995 and more recently as a captain aboard Hokuleʻa, sailing more than 12,000 miles on the canoe’s Worldwide Voyage, which began in 2013.
