SPECIAL EVENTS
Annual Unthirsty Plant Sale

The public is invited to the Annual Unthirsty Plant Sale at Hālawa Xeriscape Garden, at 99-1268 Iwaena Street on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The three-acre garden, a lush oasis nestled in Hālawa Valleyʻs Central Park industrial area, is a live display of drought tolerant and native plant varieties.
This annual family-friendly event features beautiful drought tolerant plants for sale and conservation resource information booths. Focused on xeriscaping, a creative way to reduce outdoor water use through efficient landscaping, proceeds from this event will help to support educational activities at the garden.
Plant sale admission is free. Parking and a free shuttle to the garden are available on Iwaena Street. Payments via major credit card only (no cash). The event is co-sponsored by the Friends of Hālawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG), a non-profit community group that supports educational programs related to water conservation in the landscape.
