As of Friday, March 6, 2020, and in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Halawa Xeriscape Garden remains temporarily closed until further notice. There will be no workshops held at the garden during this time. In addition, the annual open house and plant sale slated for Saturday, August 1, 2020, has been cancelled. For more information, call the Halawa Xeriscape Garden at (808) 748-5315 or send an email to workshops@hbws.org.
In the meantime, please check out these mini-workshop videos, which have been shared on Facebook and Instagram, as well as sampling of in-person workshops held at the garden since the 2016-2017 workshop series. In-person workshops, sponsored by the Board of Water Supply and the Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden, are traditionally held at the garden between September and May. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
The Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG) is a non-profit community organization dedicated to educational programs that promote water conservation on the landscape.
