This fun and informative workshop offered by the Board of Water Supply (BWS), Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG) and FOHXG Nursery Lead and Certified Master Gardener Lynne Berry Westlake will empower homeowners with a little bit of knowledge that will go a long way in creating a beautiful garden!

Details

Are you ever confused when you get to the garden shop and can’t decide on which bag of plant media is the right one to buy? Or went home with your new plants only to have them suddenly a short time later?  Participants will get to see, feel and smell, the different types of plant media and compare their similarities, and identify the pros and cons of some of the most popular bagged-to-go garden potting and in-ground mixes.

Advanced registration is required. Registration opens on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020, or when all spaces are filled. BWS security and workshop registration requires submittal of participant’s full name, home address, phone number, and email address where applicable.
