Pearl City Water System Improvements, Part IV Project

HONOLULU – Nan, Inc., the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Pearl City Water System Improvements, Part IV, project is scheduled to begin work on or after August 1, 2022. The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability for customers in the area.

The project will install approximately 1,020 feet of 12-inch water mains, and 19,450 feet of 4-inch, 6-inch and 8-inch water mains. The water mains were originally installed in the 1960s and 1970s.

• Palamoi Street from Kuahaka Street to end of 8-inch main near fire hydrant L02004 by Panee Street
• Panee Street
• Kaweloka Street from Panee Street to Palamoi Street
• Kaweloka Place
• Kalauipo Street from Kaweloka Street to Kuahaka Street
• Kalauipo Place 
• Kalai Place 
• Maiha Circle 
• Maiha Place 
• Maiki Place
• Hoohoihoi Street 
• Hoohoihoi Place 
• Hoowae Street 
• Hoomalolo Street from Hoomoana Street to Hoolaulea Street
• Hoolele Street 
• Hoomoana Street from Komo Mai Drive to Hookiekie Street
• Komo Mai Drive from Hoolehua Street to Hoolaulea Street
• Hoolehua Street from Komo Mai Drive to end of cast iron pipe by Huaono Place
• Huikahi Street
• Hoolana Street – approximately 100 feet south of fire hydrant L01670

Working hours for the project will be Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution when driving through the work areas during construction hours. Based on the current schedule, this project will be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
