Water Service Lateral Replacement Project Along Kanehoa Loop and Puanihi Street

HONOLULU – MEI Corporation, the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for a project to replace 46 waterKanehoa-Loop-and-Puanihi-Street-Service-Lateral-Replacements-(2).JPG service laterals for customers along Kanehoa Loop and Puanihi Street in Makakilo, is scheduled to begin work on Monday, April 4, 2022. Service laterals are the pipes that connect the water main under the street to the water meters serving each home. This project will improve water service reliability for residents in the area.

Working hours for the project will be Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes during construction hours. Based on the current schedule, this project will be completed in the third quarter of 2022.
