Waiau Water System Improvements Project

HONOLULU – Integrated Construction, Inc., the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Waiau Water System Improvements project is scheduled to begin work on March 13. The installation of new water mains will improve water service reliability for customers in the area.

waiau water system improvements projectThe project will install approximately 1,520 feet of new 12-inch mains. The work will affect Kaahumanu Street from Hookanike Street to Komo Mai Drive.

Road closures will occur Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at various locations throughout the work area.  Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes during construction hours.  Based on the current schedule, this project will be completed in the first quarter of 2021.  Questions and comments may be directed to the BWS Construction Section at 748-5730 or by emailing contactus@hbws.org.
