Water System Improvements on Aiea Kai Way to Begin on May 15

HONOLULU – Kiewit Infrastructure West Co., the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Aiea Kai Place and Way 8-Inch Mains project, is scheduled to begin work on May 15.  The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability for customers in the area.

This project will involve replacing approximately 1,200 feet of 8-inch and 4-inch water mains installed from the 1950s to the 1970s. Roadwork will occur Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area.  Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes during construction hours.  Barring any unforeseen circumstances, this project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.  Questions and comments may be directed to the BWS Construction Section at 748-5730 or by emailing contactus@hbws.org.
