Wilhelmina Rise Water System Improvements to Begin on October 16

HONOLULU – RMY Construction, Inc., the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Wilhelmina Rise Water System Improvements, Part V project in Kaimuki is scheduled to begin work on October 16.  The renewal of the water system will improve fire protection and water service reliability for customers in the area.

This project will involve replacing approximately 2,550 feet of 12-inch mains and approximately 2,000 feet of 8-inch and 4-inch water mains installed in the 1930s.

The following areas will be impacted:

  • Halehoola Place
  • Mana Place
  • Maunalani Circle
  • Sierra Drive from Helehoola Place to Maunalani Circle

Roadwork will occur Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area.  Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes during construction hours.  Based on the current schedule this project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.  Questions and comments may be directed to the BWS Construction Section at 748-5730 or by emailing contactus@hbws.org.
