Details

Participants will learn to select the right media for planting a tiny air plant called Tillandsia then plant it in the recycled cork’s small opening. The workshop will wrap up with a little education on selecting drought tolerant plants for your landscape, how to include tillandsia in your landscape and how to care for it indoors and out.

This mini gardening project uses a special plant media, magnet, wine cork and a drought tolerant tillandsia plant. Together they create a cute, easy to make and care for magnet that you can use to decorate your refrigerator, office file cabinet or if you’re in a pinch for a quick Mother’s Day gift, make several!  They also make great event favors!  It’s simple enough for ages Ages 10 and up.
