xeric critters workshopCreate custom made critter planters!  A hands-on workshop offered by the Board of Water Supply (BWS) and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG) will show you how to create a xeric critter planter out of a recycled 2-liter bottle.

$10 for general public and Friends of Halawa membership “Friend” level
$5 for supporting, corporate and lifetime memberships

Details

This hands-on workshop involves crafting a 2-liter plastic bottle to look like a hedgehog or other outdoor critter. With a bit of creativity, participants can fashion recycled containers that are practical, fun to use in your garden and simple to create. You will also learn a few hints on how to care for your container plants.

Advanced registration is required. Registration opens on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, or when all spaces are filled.
