The location is on government land, with no trespassing signs and cameras positioned in the area. Please obey all posted signs.

  • Hamama Falls

    The Hamama Falls trail (Oahu, HI) is CLOSED. This trail and the water fall are located in a watershed area managed by the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. There are no permits available from the BWS or from the State of Hawaii that grant legal access to Hamama Falls.

  • Naohia Falls (Kalihi Ice Ponds)

    Naohia Falls (Kalihi Ice Ponds) is located in a watershed area managed by the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. Kalihi Ice Ponds (Naohia Falls) is not a hiking trail and road is closed and not accessible. Anyone attempting to reach the ice ponds would be trespassing and subject to citation by the Honolulu Police Department.

  • Haiku Stairs

    The Board of Water Supply (BWS) has transferred ownership of Ha‘ikū Stairs and all the land around it to the City and County of Honolulu. The transfer is official as of today, July 1, 2020. City will now be responsible to maintain security until an operator is chosen.
