Kahana Bay 30-Inch Main Break Update

Contra-Flow Lane will Continue During Road Repairs and Stream Remediation Near Kahana Bridge

HONOLULU – The Board of Water Supply (BWS) estimates it will continue to have one contra-flow lane on Kamehameha Highway at Kahana Beach Park until August 15, 2022. The contra-flow lane is needed to allow the crews to safely conduct repairs to the roadway and to replace the riprap under Kahana bridge. Motorists are advised to please exercise caution when traveling near the area and to expect delays. To finalize the road repairs all lanes in the area may be closed overnight for resurfacing work. The public will be notified seven days in advance prior to the full nighttime closure takes place.

The BWS apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates everyone’s continued kokua during this process.
