Pauoa Water System Improvements Project

HONOLULU – RMY Construction, Inc., the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the Pauoa Water System Improvements project, is scheduled to begin work on or after June 21, 2021. The renewal of the water system will improve water service reliability for customers in the area.

The project will replace approximately 2,900 feet of 12-inch water mains, and approximately 5,750 feet of 8-inch water mains installed in the 1930s. PAUOA-WATER-SYSTEM-IMPROVEMENTS.jpg

The work will affect the following areas:
• Kanealii Avenue from Pauoa Road to Kapalu Street
• Lusitana Street from Pauoa Road to Concordia Street
• Auwaiolimu Street from Lusitana Street to Hookui Street
• Boyd Lane 
• Kapaloala Place
• Ladd Lane
• Whiting Street from Auwaiolimu Street to Puowaina Drive
• Along a Private Road

Road work will occur Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will involve lane closures at various locations throughout the work area. Area residents and motorists are advised to expect delays during construction hours. Based on the current schedule, this project will be completed in the third quarter of 2022.
