PLANNED WATER OUTAGE FOR ALA AOLANI
WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

HONOLULU – The contractor for the Ala Aolani Water System Improvement project will be conducting a planned water outage on Wednesday, December 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This water outage will affect approximately 133 homes in Moanalua Valley mauka of Ala Lani Street and  will include Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park.

The outage is required for the contractor to connect the new water main on Ala Aolani Street to the existing water main near the bridge by Ala Lani Street. While this work is taking place, customers in Moanalua Valley are asked to please use water for essential needs only such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene during the outage.

This planned work is subject to change. As a reminder to motorists, please expect traffic delays from lane closures at various locations in Moanalua Valley, Mondays through Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., except for observed State holidays. Based on the current schedule, this project is anticipated to be completed by the end of first quarter of 2022.

The BWS appreciates the community’s patience and kokua as this important project is completed. The work will result in a more resilient water system serving the area.
