BWS to Clean Reservoir in Upper Waialae Iki

HONOLULU – Beginning Monday, May 25, through the end of the week, the Board of Water Supply (BWS) will be working to clean a reservoir in the upper Waialae Iki area. The reservoir will be shut off from supplying water. During this period residents on Kunihi Place and above are asked to please use water for essential needs only (cooking, drinking and hygiene) until further notice.

The need to clean the reservoir is related to the May 18, water system issue that impacted the Kalani Iki and lower Waialae Iki areas.

The BWS apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience while the work is being done. Questions and comments may be directed to the BWS 24-7 trouble line at 748-5000 extension 1.
