BWS Continues Suspension of Water Shut Offs Through Year's End

HONOLULU – The Board of Water Supply (BWS) will extend the suspension of water shut-off for non-payment of water bills through Thursday, December 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, customers will continue to receive monthly bills and be responsible for all water and sewer charges on their account. The BWS advises customers who cannot pay their bill in full to keep their balance as low as possible, by paying what they can as often as they can.

BWS urges anyone experiencing financial hardship to visit our website at to obtain information about financial support programs and, if needed, fill out a form to request a payment arrangement as soon as possible. Customers without Internet access may call (808) 748-5070 for assistance -- please note that wait times could be long due to high call volumes.

Customers may also receive phone calls from BWS personnel who will inform them of their outstanding balance and discuss repayment options. While we will request that payment be made, the BWS will not demand payment on the spot and will not request confidential personal or banking information. When in doubt, do not provide any information and immediately disconnect the call and contact the BWS at its published phone number, (808) 748-5000, for assistance, or visit for many convenient payment options.

The BWS also reminds customers that our lobby remains closed to the public until further notice.

For more information, please call Kathleen Pahinui at (808) 748-5319.
