2021 Water Conservation Week Poster & Poetry Contests

Contest Deadline: Friday, February 26, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.

The Board of Water Supply (BWS) is now accepting entries for its 2021 Water Conservation Week Poster and Poetry Contest, which is open to Oahu students island-wide. These annual contests promote awareness of our island's limited drinking water supply and encourage Oahu's youth to become more water-efficient.

The 43rd annual poster contest is open to Oahu students in grades Kindergarten to 6 and the 13th annual poetry contest is open to Oahu students in grades 7 to 12.

2021 Contest Theme: Conserve Today for Tomorrow

The 2021 contest theme, "Conserve Today for Tomorrow," invites Oahu youth to creatively express their understanding and appreciation of clean, fresh drinking water as one of our most valuable resources and that we all share responsiblity to support efforts to protect our precious and finite water supply for generations to come.

Contest Information

  • CONTEST DEADLINE:  February 26, 2021.
  • The contest theme itself does not need to appear in the artwork or poetry. However, entries should reflect the  "Conserve Today for Tomorrow" theme and depict or demonstrate water conservation efforts.
  • All entries must be received with a completed entry form by the deadline to be eligible.
  • Entries may be submitted in the following ways:
    • DROP OFF at Board of Water Supply’s Public Service Building at 630 South Beretania Street, Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • DROP OFF at Satellite City Hall during regular business hours (excluding Pearl Harbor/Hickam).
    • ONLINE submission at www.boardofwatersupply.com/wcwcontest
    • Mail to Board of Water Supply Communications Office, 630 South Beretania Street, Honolulu, HI 96843.
