Submit a Poetry Entry


Water Conservation Week Poetry Contest

All entries must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025. No exceptions. Entries submitted without a completed form will be disqualified. Entries may be submitted online, dropped off at designated locations or mailed to the Board of Water Supply (BWS) by the deadline. If submitting multiple entries for various student grades, please submit one entry form per grade. See rules and requirements for details.

Instructions for Online Submission

  • Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
  • Information for at least one teacher and one student entry is required to submit this form.
  • Submit one online entry form per grade level.
  • Up to 15 student entries in a grade level per teacher may be submitted per online form. More than one online form per teacher may be submitted as needed.
  • Only PDF documents will be accepted. 
  • Each poem must be uploaded as a separate PDF document, with the entry label information placed in the upper left corner of the second (back) page in each file.
  • For the PDF file name, please use the following naming convention: StudentLastName-School- TeacherLastName (e.g. lee-moanalua-abrams.pdf).
  • Please have all entry information and PDF documents on hand when preparing the online submission. Details will not be transferred to the BWS until the form has been submitted.

Confirmation of Form Submission

An on-screen confirmation message will appear once the form has been submitted. The submitting teacher will receive an auto-generated email acknowledgement. Please review the email to ensure your entries are correct and complete. If corrections are needed, contact Keoni Mattos with the BWS Communications Office at 748-5369 or kmattos@hbws.org soon as possible prior to the contest deadline.
