HXG Workshop: Container Gardening

Offered by the The Board of Water Supply (BWS) and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG) will host a container gardening workshop focused on water conservation in a creative way. This informative workshop instructs participants on how easy it is to begin their own home container gardens. This workshop is great for single family homes as well as garden apartment and condominium lanai.

Plants living in containers dry out quickly and need to be watered more often than their counterparts in the ground. This workshop will help you conserve water and manage plants in containers without wasting water. You’ll learn simple watering techniques and planting ideas to get you started on your own beautiful home container gardens!


Advanced registration is required. Registration begins on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, and closes at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018, or when all spaces are filled.
