This fun and informative workshop offered by the Board of Water Supply (BWS), Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG) and plant enthusiast Jo-Ann Maeda will empower homeowners with a little bit of knowledge that will go a long way in creating beautiful container gardens and/or raised garden beds!

Are you ever confused when you get to the garden shop and can’t decide on which bag of plant media is the right one to buy? Or went home with your new plants only to have them suddenly die 3 months later?  Participants will get to see, feel and smell, the different types of plant media and compare their similarities, and identify the pro’s and con’s of some of the most popular bagged-to-go garden potting mixes.

Register

Advanced registration is required. Registration begins on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, and closes at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017, or when all spaces are filled. Call (808) 748-5315 or email workshops@hbws.org to register. BWS security requires full name and address of all participants.
